Charles Collier manufactures, rebuilds, and repairs film cassettes for the typesetting industry including Linotype and Agfa cassettes. We make buckets and lids for the L300-330. We also do prototype work for the industry. The company was begun in 1971 as a musical instrument making company, later to manufacture and develop cassettes for typesetting equipment. We did typesetting, doing book work and technical illustration which was outputted on an old Linotype100 typesetter, we became frustrated with the output cassette as its maximum load was only thirteen feet. The Cassette Spooler was invented by us to take care of the problem, it is an insert device for the cassette which rolls the film/paper output up to one hundred feet in length.

In the early 90s we introduced new Tops and Buckets for the Linotype 300 series hoping the user could save money by making his own repairs. We continue working on other designs and do prototype machine work.

Cassettes for Linotype 300-330 Series

These are rebuilt cassettes using some of the old hardware with new tops and buckets. Like new and guaranteed .

Exchange cassettes for Linotype 300-330 series

Rebuilt Cassettes, on an exchange basis for Linotype L300 series. Like new with new bottom and new top using your old hardware.

New Cassette Tops for the L300, you install old hardware.

New Cassette Buckets for the L300, you install old hardware.

Compugraphic Spooler for 9800. Will hold up to 90 feet of paper. The spooler is installed into your cassette. Call for pricing.

Linotype L100 Cassette Spooler, This is an old one, Before I made it, the L100 would hold up to 14 feet without tearing the paper. The spooler holds 90 to 100 feet of paper. The cassette spooler is installed into your cassette. Call for pricing.
